I welcome people, like yourself, who wish to feel better than they do now and then to maintain that sense of wellbeing. We work together using an appropriate blend of therapies which will evolve for you as your health changes. Some people choose to work with me to resolve a particular issue, this may involve one or a course of three or more appointments, others like to maintain the feel good factor with ongoing regular sessions.
I especially enjoy helping people find peace and calmness so they can cope with and enjoy their life, even if there are major issues such as chronic medical or lifestyle challenges.

Remember our work together is not a substitute for medical treatment you may currently be receiving, although we may complement it and help you during challenging times. In addition to working with your "medics" there may be times when it is appropriate for us involve my colleagues from other holistic health practices to give you the best possible support. Jin Shin Jyutsu
Pronounced "gin shin jit sue"
A gentle healing touch therapy that helps us feel calm, relaxed, happy, focused and in balance. Beneficial for regaining and maintaining emotional and physical wellness. Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioners use their fingers and hands, rather than acupuncture needles, to harmonise and revitalise our vital energy flows, pathways or meridians enabling us to live well.

What happens during a Jin Shin Session
We begin by talking about your issue, in Jin Shin we call this your "project" - there are no problems just projects for us to work on. This will involve your medical history and the circumstances in you life that have led you to my practice. When you are happy to proceed I will ask you to lie, fully clothed on my therapy couch (sitting is also fine), you will be covered with a rug and your knees supported with a cushion to ensure your back is comfortable.
I will feel your wrist pulses to discover more about the energy flows in you and to help me decide the most appropriate treatment. I then sit quietly beside you and place my hands on parts of your body, fingers and toes where the flows can be sensed. As my hands rest I am waiting to feel the gentle pulses that indicate the energy is flowing. I move my hands along the pathways to complete the flow. We usally work on two or three flows during an hour long treatment. Shorter sessions may be more appropriate for people whose energy flows are compromised by health conditions or for childrens' treatments.
As the flow eases you may become aware of a sensation of calmness flowing through you (indeed you may drift off to sleep), you may feel heat or warmth beneath my hands, you may feel sensations in your hands and feet as the energy flows. All of this is fine.
Each person is unique and the number of sessions will depend upon how their projects evolve. I am aware that many of my clients find it beneficial and like to come for regular Jin Shin sessions to maintain the feeling of well-being. Life is always changing and our energy flows are continually adapting so it is good to stay connected.

EFT (tap and talk therapy)
A talking therapy in which we use our fingers to tap on our face and hands as we talk through the challenges that are limiting our life. These may be emotional, physical, limiting beliefs, addictions, fears and phobias. EFT can produce rapid, permanent transformation. It is used within a therapy session as well as ongoing as self-help support at home, work or in a stressful situation for example public speaking, sport performance, anxiety about situations and events like dental visits - there are endless possibilities for EFT to improve our life.
What happens during an EFT session?
We begin by discussing your challenge and your feelings about it. I will demonstrate the tapping protocol/method to you and we will have a practice "tap" on an unrelated matter, just so that you can feel confident in following the tapping procedure as we work together - most of the time you will be tapping on yourself copying the patterns I reflect to you and you will be saying words out loud (where possible) at the same time. It is really easy to do and my intention is for you to enjoy the simplicity of tapping as things become peaceful - even although you issue may be distressing to you when we begin.
As we sensitively focus and begin to use tapping to transform and reduce the intensity of the feelings you have we will use the most appropriate emotional freedom technique. This may be fundamentally tapping to reduce the intensity of feeling from high to low, or we may use more advanced procedures to go behind the scenes of your story to help you let go of age old issues that you have been holding onto or we use processes that have origins in NLP to help you change your attitudes and behaviours. Remember we cannot change the past, it has happened and that is true but we can choose to release the hold past events have that may be limiting us today.
During our first, hour long, session we will be able to make a plan of support and this will vary for each person coming to my practice and their circumstances. EFT lends itself to telephone, online or practice based sessions so it is good for people living throughout the UK.

Journey Therapy empowers us to discover a state of peace and inner calmness from which causes of emotional and physical challenges can be transformed. The more we open into this state of stillness the more balanced and free we become and are able to lead the life we desire.
Sometimes we seek to understand “why” things cannot be overcome, “why” we keep feeling angry, fearful, worried or depressed; “why” are we holding on to unhealthy beliefs and habits; “why” do we have this physical problem; “why” all the treatment we have had is not working for us when it has done so for others and we know that somewhere deep inside there is an answer.
The process is like an interactive guided meditation that encourages us to uncover and resolve specific cell memories that may have been unconsciously causing these limitations and find the answers. Whilst we cannot change the past, or the future, we can change the way we feel about them, or anticipate events, so that they are more comfortably stored in our being.
“The Journey” therapeutic method was pioneered by Brandon Bays after she was diagnosed with a tumour the size of a basketball in her abdomen. With a background in holistic therapy and life coaching Brandon embarked on a remarkable search in which she discovered a way to access her inner healing resources. Six and a half weeks later she was pronounced tumour free, “text book perfect” with no drugs or surgery.

This enables us to focus our Journey together. As you settle comfortably on your chair we start by calming our mind and breathing for a few moments. Then I will gently guide you through your process of discovery, helping you to safely recognise things that may be limiting your peace and showing you how to heal them without harm. We remember that things happen, that is just the way it is, we can become aware of how we have responsed and choose to consciouly release the old patterns, liberating us to approach life in a more wholesome way.
Each Process is unique and I suggest we take time for this, so sessions can be 1-3 hours, always with refreshment at the end. This can be a profound therapeutic experience so please contact me to discover how it will be of benefit .

Homeopathy
An established healing methodology that recognises the totality of symptoms presented by people and then uses remedies specially made from substance found in the world to match and work with the diseased state enabling an individuals wellbeing to be restored.
What to expect during a Homeopathic consultation.
We begin our session by talking about your issue, be it physical, emotional or a knowing that you are just not right and haven't been able to sort it out. It is not unusual for people to seek out homeopathy as a last resort, they have tried many things and a friend may have said "how about Homeopathy?"
As we talk we will gain an insight into things. Homeopathy is all about you and the more we can discover about your story and characteristics of the thing that is causing you upset the more appropriate remedy, or remedies, we can find. Together we will plan a way forward - this will be modified as things change for you.
Our intial session may take over an hour for adults and my intention is for you to find it informative and inspirational. Technology has made it possible for homeopathic consultations to take place on-line, by Skype or on the telephone (for these sessions I do request that people send a photo to help). Naturally a visit to my practice is the best option.

The remedies are sent out to you in the post with full instructions on how to use the tablets which are hand made for me by my homeopathic pharmacy. We give the remedies time to work and usually follow up a couple of weeks' later, and follow our plan.
